About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Olav Engineering, Storåsveien 11A, 1169 Oslo. They apply when you use the readiness product and the parts of this website that need an account. How we handle personal data is not covered here, it is set out in our privacy policy.

The service

The service is an AI-assisted readiness review. You tell us about your company, and we produce a report on the cyber-security rules that apply to it, with citations you can check.

The report is informational. It is generated by an AI system and is not legal advice, and it does not create a lawyer-client relationship.

How the agreement is formed

The readiness product is not open to public sign-up. We set it up for you as part of an agreement we make with you directly, and these terms apply to your use of it from that point.

For this website, these terms apply while you use it.

Unless we agree otherwise, the ordinary rules of Norwegian contract law govern how the agreement is formed and binds the parties.

Your account and your responsibilities

You are responsible for the details you give us, for keeping your account secure, and for the use of the service under your account. Give us accurate information, and let us know if something is wrong.

Acceptable use

When you use the service, you agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights,
• upload content you do not have the right to share,
• try to disrupt, attack, or reverse-engineer the service,
• misuse it in a way that harms us or other users.

Your content

You keep all rights to the documents and information you upload. We do not claim ownership of your content. You give us a limited licence to process your content only to deliver the service, for example to produce the review you ask for. How uploaded data is handled is set out in our privacy policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available, but we do not promise it will always be up or error-free. We may change, pause, or stop features as the product develops.

Disclaimers

The service and any review are provided as they are. A review is an aid and does not replace your own judgement, and it is not legal advice. It is AI-generated and can be incomplete or wrong, so you should not rely on it as your only basis for a decision.

TODO (Alf / lawyer): QUALITY GATE: draft the binding warranty disclaimer wording (for example the extent to which the service is provided without warranties) with a lawyer. Do not treat the plain-language line above as the final disclaimer.

Limitation of liability

There are limits on what we are responsible for if something goes wrong. The size and scope of any limit is a commercial decision we have not set here, and it is being set with legal review.

TODO (Alf / lawyer): QUALITY GATE: set the liability cap and the exclusions (for example indirect or consequential loss) with a lawyer, and write the binding clause. Do not invent a cap.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Which court or venue applies to a dispute is a commercial decision we have not set here, and it will be stated once confirmed.

TODO (Alf / lawyer): Confirm the governing-law and venue clause (court or arbitration, and the seat) with a lawyer, and align it with the contracting entity.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the version and effective date at the top. If you keep using the service after a change, the new version applies. We record which version you accepted.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end your access if these terms are broken, or where we have to for legal or security reasons.
